Our shop had provided molds, costumes, props, and scenic elements for the historic recreation segments of The History Channels "The Real Face of Jesus".
Several props were rigged to appear in mid-air to aid the actors during a still-motion special effect sequence.
The science fiction feature film Hunter Prey was a prop-makers dream come true. We were fortunate enough to design and build many unique props for this film, among them was this futuristic, emergency-survival camp stove. It was constructed largely from vacuum-formed plastic parts and featured internal, dimmable illumination that could be increased in brightness as needed on film.
Another, hyper-detailed prop from the feature film "Hunter Prey" was this hand-held blowtorch. This prop was a big hit with our clients, it actually contained a functional, flaming lighter!
The completed blowtorch prop was heavily weathered in keeping with the design aesthetic of the film "Hunter Prey". We also provided a custom-crafted leather carrying case for this prop.

We were commissioned by artist Warren Miller to create a slightly-increased-in scale M-4 rifle and kevlar helmet. Pictured above is an accurately sized M-4 rifle prop for scale reference.
These oversized components were integrated into an overall larger design. Our helmet always receives inquiries regarding the desert camouflage cover, it is actually sculpted in place (wrinkles and all) and painted. We are often asked by the military staff if we had utilized an oversized training rifle for the display. Nope, we custom-built everything!
Here you can see the oversized M4 rifle and kevlar helmet installed in the overall design of the U.S. Military Academy's crest for the Class of 2008.
A combination of materials are employed to make these vacuum formed, WWII-era MG-34 machine guns. They are light-weight and painted for realism. The replica in this photo is placed above our deactivated original for comparison.
These light-weight props were created for a Rankin & Bass themed holiday ice show display. An ice sculpture of a Christmas elf is holding these oversized but light-weight props.

The ideal way to convey emotion in three dimensions is through sculpture. The artists at Prop & Paint have education and experience in a multitude of sculptural styles, from recreating the beauty of the Italian Renaissance era, to interpreting dynamic, pop-culture references. We work in a variety of mediums including clay, rigid foam, wood, metal, plastics, and more.
Clay is applied to the fender of a motorcycle to produce an insanely detailed dragon that will transform this ride into a unique display of thundering art.
Once the exceptional level of detail was completed in clay, silicone molds were produced. From those molds, fiberglass castings were made and applied to the motorcycle.
To match the aesthetic of the dragon motorcycle we created, we also sculpted a matching helmet.
The same level of detail was incorporated into the motorcycle helmet as was put into the motorcycle itself. Clay was carefully applied over an existing motorcycle helmet in order to create a slim, visually appealing design.
Each helmet we produce for a production often goes through several revisions.
The final helmet sculpture has been approved by the production and awaits mold-making.
One of the more fulfilling projects that we contributed on was for a line of medical training mannequins. These birth anomalies were sculpted using reference of actual, medical case studies. Ultimately, the products produced from our sculptures will assist in the training of medical technicians so they may contend with these medical conditions.
Gastroschisis is a medical condition where the newborns intestines are outside of the abdomen. With proper training, this condition can be corrected. Our sculptures earned the approval of medical professionals and have been employed into the production of a line of neonatal training aids.
We were fortunate enough to provide a whole series of medical sculptures for a line of neonatal training aids. Our sculptures were used to create lifelike, flexible rubber castings to be applied over a pre-existing product.
Another sculpture of a medical anomaly used to produce training aids for neonatal medical technicians. This case is called omphalocele. We produced sculptures and prototype molds for the mass production of these training aids.
We were approached to produce a one-of-kind sculptural system that would adorn a street-worthy motorcycle. Our artists designed the dragon and produced the clay sculptures directly on top of the existing motorcycle parts. This enabled us to create parts with a perfect fit!
No detail was overlooked in the creation of the dragon adornments.
These fiberglass coverings were made to "clamshell" over the existing motorcycle tank. They were sculpted in clay and ultimately produced in fiberglass.
Here the dragon motorcycle is nearing completion.
This moose arm will be utilized in an animated display. Silicone molds were produced from this stylized sculpture and multiple resin copies were rotationally cast in a hollow plastic.
Holiday characters carved out of ice require resin-cast add-ons for the finer details such as these eyelid sculptures.
This is a beak that belongs to "Topper" the penguin from the animated holiday special "Santa Clause is Comin' to Town". Topper was carved out of ice by skilled sculptors and adorned with this rigid foam/hard-coated beak.
